How to Delete Section Break in Microsoft Word

If you are having formatting problems with a Microsoft Word document, one solution is to remove section breaks. Removing a section break can help you control the spacing between the paragraphs in your document. However, removing a section break can also affect your document’s formatting. To remove a section break in Microsoft Word, you first need to select it. You can do this by clicking on the Breaks button on the Layout tab or by using the Find and Replace dialog box.

The Find and Replace dialog box is located in the far right corner of your Word document. Click on the “More” button to view advanced settings. Once you click on the More button, a box will appear that allows you to remove all or selected section breaks.

You can delete a section break in the same way as you would delete a word or phrase. The Find and Replace tool is available with the Ctrl + H shortcut key. It is also accessible through the Home and Editing ribbons on the bottom of the screen.

Aside from deleting section breaks, you can add them as well. In order to do this, you need to make sure that you have the Paragraph Formatting and Find and Replace tools enabled.

After you have completed the above steps, you will be able to see your paragraph marks and formatting marks. If you want to hide these marks, you can use the Show/Hide button on the Home tab.
